The people of Ethiopia need, in addition to food aid and appropriate medical care, education with regard to nutrition, hygiene and small-scale farming. Applying new techniques and educating the people can help to prevent disease epidemics and can take Ethiopians one step closer to self sufficiency. Provision of such education however requires money, equipment and appropriate manpower.

Mr S. Anthis and Mr C. Theodorou have decided to enter the "Cannonball Run Europe 2005" in July 2005 to donate sponsorship monies raised by them, to be put towards the sum of £549,700 urgently required to fund the Health and Food Shortage Project in an effort to assist the children of Ethiopia.

The Cannonball Run Europe 2005 is taking place between the 3rd and 9th July 2005 and will span approximately 3000 miles from London to a destination, which the organizers will disclose to the drivers on the eve of the event.
